Jacob Kim

Co-Founder, Director Stylist

Jacob is far from your typical stylist. His career speaks volumes about his skill, creativity, and reputation. Known as one of the most requested hairdressers at every salon he has worked in, he has built a name for himself through precision, style, and consistently impressive results.

From 2016 to 2022, Jacob was an integral part of the Korean commercial hair team and the Seoul Fashion Show, styling hair for numerous celebrities and models. His work spans continents, with extensive international experience in Japan, Australia, Canada, the US, and Korea, giving him a unique perspective on global hair trends and techniques.

Now in Singapore, Jacob brings this wealth of expertise to Jo:Hwa Hair & Living. With him, clients can expect not just a haircut, but a tailored experience that combines creativity, technical excellence, and an understanding of individual style, leaving every client confident, refreshed, and inspired.

“I am Jacob, the co-founder of Jo:Hwa Hair & Living. For over two decades, I have breathed life into the hair industry, painting strokes of passion and creativity across every strand. I like to believe that I embody different roles: a salon owner with a passion for transforming and bringing joy to my clients, as well as a artist with a pursuit of excellence in diverse realms like fashion shows, magazines, and captivating photoshoots.

In my career, I have sought enlightenment from esteemed hair academies and salons that span the globe. From the graceful elegance of Korea to the avant-garde brilliance of the United States, the cosmopolitan allure of Canada, the breath-taking landscapes of Australia, and the timeless traditions of Japan, I have immersed myself in the wisdom of these revered institutions. Guided by their teachings, I have honed my expertise to perfection, specialising in the art of hair cutting techniques and various K-beauty perms.

I believe even after 20 years; my passion remains unwavering. The joy I feel when each customer shines is what fuels me. From the very first meeting, I strive to become the hairstylist that each of my customers can't wait to see again.”

Jun Park

Co-Founder, Director Stylist

I live and breathe the artistry of hair, and my ultimate goal is to revolutionise not just appearances, but the very essence of how people perceive themselves.

To achieve my goal, I decided to pursue my career abroad and succeeded in securing a position at Vidal Sassoon after several years of hard work. In just five years, I won two hair design competitions and earned the coveted title of Chief Designer. Eventually, my search for new horizons led me to Singapore, where I shared my knowledge and skills with young hairstylists.

I believe a great hairstyle does more than enhance appearance. It boosts confidence and helps people feel like the best version of themselves. Over the years, I’ve focused on creating personalised hair design experiences, which led to being recognised as one of the top three Korean stylists in Singapore and featured in Her World magazine for tailoring styles to individual face shapes.

At Jo:Hwa Hair & Living, my goal is to provide a hair design experience that combines technical precision with a clear understanding of each client’s needs. I also aim to mentor aspiring hairstylists, helping them build their skills and explore their creativity.

Here, we embrace diversity, prioritise individuality, and offer a salon experience inspired by Korea’s approach to beauty, giving every client a result that feels uniquely theirs.”

Jun is a standout talent in the hair industry — he is the only stylist in Singapore, and one of the few in Asia to receive the Top Stylist title and win two prestigious awards from Sassoon Salon/Academy (formerly Vidal Sassoon).

As a qualified technical instructor, Jun has personally mentored numerous stylists who now work in top hair salons across Singapore, Canada, and Korea. His expertise and influence have been widely recognised, earning him accolades from both the media and the public, including “Best Stylist for Face-Framing Haircuts” and “Best Korean Stylist in Singapore.”

Jun’s approach to hair design goes beyond trends. He combines creativity with precision, creating styles that are not just fashionable but mathematically tailored to suit each client’s features. At Jo:Hwa, he is dedicated to offering a fresh perspective on hair design: one that balances artistry, technical excellence, and individuality.

Since young, my unwavering passion for hairstyling has been the driving force behind my journey. I became a certified hairstylist at the age of 16, and set my sights on a career path that aimed to fuse traditional Korean hair design techniques with global trends.

Kana is a Japanese hairstylist and head spa specialist with a strong foundation in both technique and creativity. Her journey began with a comprehensive beauty education in Japan, covering core hairstyling skills, bridal services, and makeup artistry.

Over seven years, she honed her expertise, focusing on precision haircutting and restorative head spa treatments. Eager to expand her skills and adapt to a wider range of hair types, Kana moved to New York, where she gained hands-on experience with diverse hair textures and advanced styling techniques.

Today, she brings this wealth of knowledge back to Singapore, combining meticulous technique with a deep understanding of client needs.

At Jo:Hwa, Kana is committed to delivering personalised results, ensuring every client leaves feeling refreshed, confident, and cared for.

I’m Elin, a Korean hairstylist with a flair for all the latest hair trends and a passion for bringing out the best in every client.  My journey began back in Korea, where I immersed myself in the vibrant world of hair, and my career has thus led me to Singapore, where I’m thrilled to bring my expertise to Jo:Hwa.

I had previously worked in Singapore for 4 years from 2019 to 2023, a time when I learned leaps and bounds in a dynamic foreign environment. I forged many positive relationships with my Singaporean clients, as well as received further professional training  that served me well in this new environment. I am so excited to be back here in this culturally vibrant, beautiful and bustling city!  

With over ten years in the hair industry, I’m constantly pushing myself to learn and grow. Whether it’s staying ahead of the latest Korean beauty trends or perfecting time-honoured techniques, I’m committed to delivering a personalised experience that’s all about you.

More than anything, what truly excites me is the chance to connect with all of you. With over a decade of experience, Elin’s early training at Seoul’s Zone and Section Academy and Pivot Point Academy laid the groundwork for her precise cutting techniques and her ability to understand the structure, movement, and balance behind every hairstyle.

With this foundation, Elin has developed a style that blends creativity with practicality. She takes the time to understand each client’s lifestyle, preferences, and comfort level, making her consultations thorough yet approachable. Clients appreciate her calm presence, steady hands, and the confidence she brings to every appointment.
